Director General of the Continuing Education Institute at the American University of Baghdad delivers a speech at the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023

The Director General of the Continuing Education Institute at the American University of Baghdad, Mr. Ziad Shaaban, participated in the activities of the "Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023", which the university is proud to be a golden sponsor of. Mr. Shaaban delivered a speech at the conference, which was attended by prominent academics and officials from public and private universities in Iraq and beyond, government officials, members of the Parliamentary Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee, and interested parties from various sectors. In his speech, Mr. Shaaban talked about the importance of the role that continuing education plays in qualifying and developing cadres, supporting modernization, development, and sustainability efforts in various government and private sectors. In this context, Mr. Shaaban reviewed the transformations in the concept and roles of continuing education worldwide, towards developing longer-term programs, which may last up to two years, keeping pace with developments in various sectors, and enjoying in this aspect an advantage that gives them preference over classical higher education, which is less flexible by nature.
